The summer network meeting will be hosted by Jane Banham, who will be continuing your look over the year at progression, this time with chemistry as the focus.

There will also be the normal updates for people to learn about including resources to support home learning and an opportunity to ask questions linked to returning to school.

  • develop the teaching and assessment of working scientifically in your school
  • develop your schemes of work/learning in order to enhance the teaching and learning of science in your school

DEEP DIVE TWILIGHTS - 2 part:

PART ONE: delivers an introduction, theory and rationale. 
PART TWO:  comprises of a task and follow up.  This is designed to assist with applying theory into practice, take a look at ideas from the task and form a strategy with which to move forward. 


How will inspectors look at science as part of the ’Quality of Education’ judgement?  How ready are you to be part of conversations around why you do what you do – the way you do – in your teaching of science? This course will look at key elements of good practice, as well as lessons learned from inspections, to support the delivery of science at your school.

Hampton Hargate Primary School is working with TT Education to offer this dynamic CPD twilight course which will tell you all you need to know raising standards in science by using creative, practical and achievable ways to inspire primary scientists.

OUTCOMES and OBJECTIVES

  • Develop effective strategies to manage practical enquiry within the primary classroom 
  • Develop your application of scientific vocabulary and concepts 
  • Explore the power of talk and higher order thinking skills to develop curiosity and support learning at greater depth
  • Develop strategies to help you prepare for inspection of science
