“A story-led approach to media training leads to a more confident, effective and engaging spokesperson “
PSMEDIA training is second to none and is led by Paul Stainton, a former Network TV Sport correspondent for the BBC, a producer and Editor at BBC 5Live and the presenter of the award winning breakfast show on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
They create a genuine media environment during training so that your spokespeople can properly hone their skills for radio, TV, social media and print. They will carry out filmed one-to-one media interviews scenarios for TV as well as radio interviews and gain experience of all the different scenarios.
Delegates are coached in every aspect of how to speak to the media and how to deal with crisis situations. PSMEDIA’s course also benefits those who have to speak to difficult members of the public and those that undertake any form of public speaking.
Every course can be tailored to meet your individual requirements and please do not hesitate to contact us about this beforehand.
"The training session that Paul led was truly engaging and full of practical advice on how not only to cope with the challenges and demands of a media interview, but also to excel whilst doing so. Paul is very adept at sharing his wealth of experience in this arena and I would recommend this session to anybody who potentially has to deal with the media in either a planned or unplanned capacity." RICHARD LORD - PRINCIPAL, KEN STIMPSTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL
"There aren’t many occasions when being in the ‘hot seat’ feels like so much fun. Paul’s approach to training is practical, relevant and thoroughly enjoyable. If you are looking for someone to challenge you and to make you think about how to shape and deliver a message, not to mention how you respond in a crisis, Paul Stainton is the person." DARREN AYLING - HEADTEACHER, KINGS SCHOOL
"This course was valued highly by all who attended as it hit the mark on the issues faced by schools, whether that was a tricky media interview on an Ofsted outcome, an accident involving a pupil where an immediate response is required or just generally understanding how the media approach issues. This is not about spin but about being effective and confident in communication and Paul has a wealth of experience to share. I would therefore recommend this course from all of the feedback I have had, but also from my personal experience of Paul’s effectiveness in media communications." GILLIAN BEASLEY - CHIEF EXECUTIVE of PETEROROUGH and CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
