Paul Main the founder of Structural Learning delivered a presentation to Paragon TSA’s Executive Members earlier this year. The presentation was highly engaging and interactive and as a result, Paragon TSA are now bringing you the opportunity to experience this exciting concept.
What is Structural Learning?
Structural Learning is a Cross-Curricular and Cross-Phase cognitive strategy that helps pupils organise their ideas and think critically. It is the Mental Scaffolding your pupils need to build lasting, conceptual knowledge.
Learn how you can use this new concept in your school and how it enhances thinking, reading and writing.
This course will enable you to:
- Develop an understanding of the cognitive principles behind memory formation and comprehension
- Understand how to embed deeper learning across the curriculum using visual teaching methods
- Develop an understanding of how Structural Learning can be used in schools
- Explore the current research agendas and the potential impact these will have on the classroom
